Use the Crypto.com Exchange (not the App). Create a key with Trade enabled, withdrawals off, and Fomoed’s IPs whitelisted.
Fomoed connects to Crypto.com with a trade-only API key. The key can place trades but — with withdrawals disabled and IP-locking on — can never move money out of your Crypto.com account. Credentials are encrypted with AES-256.
Open the Crypto.com API page ↗
- Open the Exchange API settings. Log in to the Crypto.com Exchange (crypto.com/exchange — this is different from the Crypto.com App), go to Settings → API Keys, and click Create a New API Key.
Make sure you’re on the Exchange, not the App — they’re separate products with separate keys.
- Enable Trade permission. Turn on the Trade permission so the bot can place orders. Leave Withdraw off.
Do NOT enable Withdraw. Also ensure your account has trading/KYC enabled, or orders will be rejected.
- Restrict the key to Fomoed’s IP addresses. Turn on IP access restriction and add Fomoed’s server IPs (below). This means the key only works from our servers — even if it leaked, nobody else could use it. Add all of them.
51.161.117.82, 51.79.107.144, 51.79.107.145, 51.79.107.166, 51.79.107.175, 51.79.107.193, 51.79.107.198
If you skip this, the key still works, but IP-locking is the single biggest safety upgrade — do it.
- Copy your key and secret. Copy the API Key and Secret Key now — the Secret is shown once.
- Save and paste into Fomoed. Click Save/Confirm. Back in Fomoed, select Crypto.com and paste your API Key, Secret Key. Fomoed validates the key immediately and confirms the trading permission (and IP lock) are correct.
Your funds stay safe. The key can place trades but — with withdrawals off and IP-locking on — can never move money out of your Crypto.com account. Fomoed encrypts your credentials with AES-256 and never has withdrawal access.
