How to Create a BloFin API Key

BloFin is perpetual-futures only and uses a passphrase you choose. Create a Trade-only key, IP-locked.

Fomoed connects to BloFin with a trade-only API key. The key can place trades but — with withdrawals disabled and IP-locking on — can never move money out of your BloFin account. Credentials are encrypted with AES-256.

1. Open API management. Log in to BloFin and go to Account → API (link above), then Create API Key.
2. Set a passphrase. Enter an API Passphrase you choose. Save it — you’ll paste it into Fomoed and it can’t be recovered.
   The passphrase is required to use the key.
3. Set permissions. Enable Trade. Do not enable Withdraw.
   Do NOT enable Withdraw.
4. Restrict the key to Fomoed’s IP addresses. Turn on IP access restriction and add Fomoed’s server IPs (below). This means the key only works from our servers — even if it leaked, nobody else could use it. Add all of them.

   If you skip this, the key still works, but IP-locking is the single biggest safety upgrade — do it.
5. Copy your credentials. Copy the API Key, Secret, and Passphrase. The Secret is shown once.
6. Save and paste into Fomoed. Click Save/Confirm. Back in Fomoed, select BloFin and paste your API Key, Secret Key, and Passphrase. Fomoed validates the key immediately and confirms the trading permission (and IP lock) are correct.
