ServiceNow (NOW) is the cleanest pure-play on enterprise agentic AI in the public market. While the hyperscalers fight over training compute and the chipmakers fight over inference accelerators, ServiceNow has been quietly building the system-of-record layer that every Fortune 500 IT and HR organization plugs its AI agents into. The thesis got real in 2026: Now Assist ACV is up more than 130% year-over-year, management raised the internal 2026 target from $1.0B to roughly $1.5B of Assist-related revenue, and the long-term target is now $30B+ in subscription revenue by 2030 with over 30% of annual contract value tied to AI under the unified "ServiceNow Otto" brand. The 14% post-Dell-earnings rotation rally in late May was a single-day reminder that NOW trades as the highest-quality enterprise-AI proxy on the board.

The catch, as always with U.S. equities, is the cage. NOW trades on the NYSE, which means six and a half hours a day, Monday through Friday, minus holidays. Every catalyst that actually moves ServiceNow — a Now Assist deal disclosure, an enterprise-software competitor's miss, a guidance bump on the quarterly call, a CIO survey that names ServiceNow as the consolidation winner — lands either after the bell, before the open, or in an analyst day mid-week. By the time the U.S. market reopens, the move has happened and retail is already trading the wake.

Hyperliquid now lists an xyz:NOW perpetual contract that trades 24/7 with isolated leverage. Long or short, with the same USDC margin you use for BTC, NVDA, and SPX. No broker, no PDT rule, no after-hours liquidity cliff. Combined with Fomoed's free DCA, grid, and custom strategy bots, retail traders finally have an automated, around-the-clock, no-KYC path into the enterprise-software platform every AI rotation runs through.

Why NOW Trading Hours Are Broken for Enterprise-AI Traders

Like every U.S.-listed name, ServiceNow is locked inside the same 6.5-hour NYSE window we covered in our companion piece on trading NVDA 24/7 on Hyperliquid. Regular hours run 9:30am–4pm Eastern. Pre-market and after-hours sessions exist on most retail brokers (4am–9:30am and 4pm–8pm ET), but liquidity is thin, spreads widen aggressively, and many brokers restrict stop-losses or block all but limit orders during those windows. Outside of those 16 hours of partial liquidity, NOW simply does not trade for retail.

Enterprise-software names like ServiceNow are particularly punishing because of how their catalysts cluster. Three structural drivers move the stock and almost all of them happen outside cash hours:

  • Quarterly subscription guidance. The most-watched line in every NOW print is the cRPO (current remaining performance obligation) number — a forward-looking subscription backlog metric that proxies the durability of the AI uplift. The print drops after the close, the call runs into the evening, and the buyside spends the night re-modelling. By morning, the gap has happened.
  • Mid-week analyst day events. ServiceNow's Investor Day and World Forum events are scheduled mid-quarter, usually run during European business hours when the buyside is digesting the AI roadmap update, and produce the same kind of overnight repricing that earnings do. The May 2026 rotation that took NOW up 14% in a single session traced directly back to commentary out of an enterprise-software event the prior afternoon.
  • Comparable-company prints. NOW trades as a beta to enterprise-software earnings. When Salesforce reports, when Workday reports, when Atlassian or HubSpot or Datadog reports — NOW moves in sympathy. Each of those tape-readings happens after the bell or before the open, and the cleanest reactive trade requires perp access that doesn't shut at 4pm.

The structural result: NOW has been one of the more gap-prone mega-cap software names over the last 18 months. Single-day moves of 8–14% on earnings or rotation events are routine, and the majority of that move tends to happen outside cash hours. Retail traders relying on brokers either eat the gap or skip the trade. Hyperliquid's 24/7 perp eliminates the gap problem: you can long ahead of the print, short a competitor disappointment, or hedge a U.S. position overnight, all in the same USDC margin account that runs the rest of your book.

What ServiceNow Actually Sells (and Why CIOs Pay)

To trade NOW with conviction you need to know the actual product. ServiceNow is a workflow platform — think of it as the SAP of internal IT, HR, customer service, and security operations, except built natively for SaaS and dramatically more popular with the people who actually use it. Three product engines matter:

1. The Now Platform (the workflow OS)

Underneath every ServiceNow product sits a single low-code workflow engine. CIOs buy ServiceNow not because the IT Service Management (ITSM) module is the best in any single dimension, but because once it's deployed it becomes the connective tissue between dozens of internal systems — Workday for HR, Salesforce for CRM, Okta for identity, Splunk for security, and so on. Every workflow that crosses department boundaries gets built on the Now Platform. Net retention sits in the high 90s because the switching cost is enormous: rebuilding 200 internal workflows on a competitor's platform is effectively a multi-year migration project.

2. Now Assist (the AI agent layer)

Now Assist is the agentic-AI brand for the entire product line — IT, HR, customer service, security, finance, supply chain. The pricing model is the big strategic move: rather than charging per seat (which AI economically destroys because AI agents do the work of humans), ServiceNow is charging per AI workflow execution and per outcome. That converts AI deflation from a threat into a revenue tailwind. Customer ACV from Now Assist is up over 130% YoY, deal sizes generating $1M+ in ACV are growing fast, and the company has explicitly guided $1.5B in Assist-related revenue for 2026.

3. ServiceNow Otto (the unified AI experience)

Otto is the consumer-facing brand the company unified around in 2026 — a single AI assistant interface that spans every workflow and acts as the agentic front door. The strategic rationale: enterprise buyers want one AI surface area, not dozens of AI features sprinkled across modules. Otto is positioned as the answer. The internal target is for over 30% of total ACV to be tied to AI by 2030, which would put Otto-driven revenue at $9B+ on the management $30B subscription path.

What this product mix means for traders: NOW is the cleanest pure-play on enterprise agentic AI in the public market. Other large software names have AI features (Salesforce has Agentforce, Microsoft has Copilot, Workday has Illuminate) but those are AI bolted on top of legacy seat-based revenue. ServiceNow is the rare one that re-priced its whole business around the AI economic model. When AI sentiment is hot in enterprise software, NOW outperforms. When AI sentiment cools, the high-quality cRPO backlog provides a floor. Volatility is meaningfully higher than the IGV index but lower than the smaller AI-software names — perfect for the kind of grid and DCA strategies bots automate well.

The 2026 Setup: Why Now Is Different

Three forces converge through the back half of 2026 that make NOW worth automating around:

  1. Q2 print on July 22. Consensus revenue is $3.93B. The number that moves the stock will be Now Assist ACV growth (consensus modelling 130%+) and the cRPO number. A clean beat with raised guidance puts NOW back at the high end of the analyst price-target range ($240). A miss on guidance — particularly if the issue is deal slippage rather than competitive loss — produces a textbook DCA setup.
  2. Enterprise-software rotation. The May 14% single-day rally came after Dell reported a blockbuster AI-server backlog number and the entire enterprise-software complex rotated higher in sympathy. That rotation pattern has repeated three times since late 2025 and is now a quasi-mechanical flow. Bots can be primed to react to it without you watching the tape.
  3. CFRA, HSBC, and CFO commentary on the $9B-by-2030 target. Multiple bulge-bracket houses have explicitly cited the $1.5B 2026 / $9B 2030 Assist trajectory as the reason NOW deserves a multiple re-rating. If management reaffirms or accelerates that path on the next print, the buyside model gets pushed up — and the stock follows.

Trading all three catalysts means being able to react to news that lands at 4:30pm ET, at 10am ET on a Wednesday analyst day, and at random points during the quarter when a comp reports. That's exactly what 24/7 perp access buys.

Setting Up a ServiceNow Trading Bot on Hyperliquid

Three free strategy templates inside Fomoed are well-suited to NOW's price action. None require subscriptions, KYC, or sharing custody — bots sign trades on-chain via a builder code, and the USDC stays in your Hyperliquid account. Read the setup guide if you're new to the venue.

Strategy 1 — DCA the Post-Print Drawdown

ServiceNow's post-earnings move pattern is unusually consistent: the print produces an initial directional gap, the next 5–10 sessions see a partial fade as the buyside re-models, then the stock chops in a 10–18% range for the next 8 weeks until the following quarter starts to come into view. A DCA bot turns that fade into your friend by laddering into the position at predefined drawdown levels.

  • Base order: $100–$300 — sized so a 50% full-ladder drawdown is inside your risk budget.
  • Safety orders: 4–5 layers — spacing 1.5× wider each step so the average price falls quickly on the back half.
  • Take profit: 3–4% from the average entry — NOW rarely round-trips a full fade without an interim 3–5% rally inside the inter-print range.
  • Trigger filter: RSI < 35 on the 1-hour chart, with a 200-EMA trend filter on the 4-hour to skip drawdowns that are part of an actual structural breakdown.

The full DCA walkthrough generalises one-for-one to NOW — only the pair name changes.

Strategy 2 — Grid the Inter-Print Range

The 8-week chop between prints is textbook grid territory. Define the upper bound at the post-print high, the lower bound at the prior consolidation low, slice the range into 10–18 levels, and let the bot earn the volatility premium.

  • Range: 12–20% band based on recent post-print history.
  • Levels: 14–18 grid lines arithmetic, or 10–14 geometric. NOW's absolute price favors arithmetic at smaller capital and geometric at larger capital — the latter gives you equal percent moves between rungs.
  • Per-level size: 1/N of total grid capital where N is the level count.
  • Stop-loss / unwind: hard floor 6–8% below range bottom; if NOW breaks that, the grid unwinds and you reset the range after the next earnings cycle.

Our free grid bot handles arithmetic, geometric, and Fibonacci spacing.

Strategy 3 — Custom RSI/EMA Reversion for News Spikes

Enterprise-software names over-extend on news because of how rotation flow works — every long-only AI fund tilts the same direction at the same time. A simple mean-reversion custom strategy bot works:

  • Entry long: RSI(14) crosses up through 30 on the 4-hour chart while the 50-EMA > 200-EMA (structural uptrend intact).
  • Entry short: RSI(14) crosses down through 70 while 50-EMA < 200-EMA (structural downtrend).
  • Scale-out TP1: 50% at touch of the 12-EMA.
  • Scale-out TP2: remaining 50% at touch of the 45-EMA.
  • Stop loss: 2–3% beyond the entry candle's extreme; move to break-even on TP1 fill.

Backtest the template inside Fomoed's free backtest sandbox before going live; the sandbox runs the same Phase 1d engine the live bot uses, so a clean backtest on a 12-month window is the closest analog to "this will work."

The Enterprise-AI Pair Trade: Long NOW / Short CRM

The institutional pair that's been quietly running since mid-2024 is long NOW / short CRM on a beta-adjusted basis. The logic: both companies are pitching agentic AI to the same CIO buyer, but ServiceNow's economic model (consumption + outcome pricing) captures the AI tailwind while Salesforce's seat-based model bleeds from it. The pair has produced a clean spread expansion through most of 2025–2026.

On Hyperliquid the implementation is two perp orders in the same isolated-margin account:

  • Long xyz:NOW, $10,000 notional, 2× leverage.
  • Short xyz:CRM, $10,000 notional, 2× leverage.

Net delta to the enterprise-software complex is roughly zero. Funding cost is the difference between the two funding rates (typically a few bps per day). P&L is the relative move between the two legs.

A more aggressive version is long NOW / short WDAY — a bet on the platform-vs-point-solution thesis. Workday is best-in-class for HR but doesn't have the cross-departmental workflow story that ServiceNow does. The pair has lower beta and lower edge but offers a cleaner narrative bet for traders who already hold Salesforce in a long-only book.

You can automate either pair with two bots running opposite directions on the same Fomoed account — the position sizes lock together and the bots auto-rebalance on funding. The 24/7 access is the killer feature: when an enterprise-software peer reports in after-hours, both legs move on Hyperliquid at the same time, so the hedge stays intact through the whole event window instead of opening a 12-hour gap risk.

Fee Math — Broker vs Hyperliquid Perp

The cost-of-trading argument is straightforward once you put real numbers on it. Take a $10,000 NOW round-trip with three intra-week trades:

Cash broker (Robinhood, Schwab, Fidelity):

  • Commission: $0 per trade on most U.S. retail brokers.
  • Spread + PFOF impact: ~1–3 bps per side in regular hours; 5–15 bps in pre-market/after-hours. Three round-trips with mixed session execution averages ~4 bps per side = ~24 bps total = ~$24.
  • Borrow cost on the short leg: NOW is index-constituent and easy to borrow at 0.5–1% — call it ~$2 on a one-week short.
  • After-hours liquidity restrictions: some moves are uncatchable. Cost = opportunity.
  • PDT rule: if your account is < $25,000 and you hit four day-trades in five rolling days, account frozen 90 days.

Hyperliquid perp (xyz:NOW):

  • Taker fee: 3.5 bps per side = 21 bps for three round-trips = ~$21.
  • Maker fee: 1 bp per side or rebated, if you limit-order some legs = ~$10–15.
  • Funding rate: paid or received every hour. Currently ~1.2 bps per 8 hours on the long side — one week = ~25 bps = ~$25. Symmetric: short the heavy side, receive instead of pay.
  • Borrow: not a thing on perps.
  • PDT rule: not a thing on perps.
  • After-hours: not a thing — perp trades 24/7.

On a steady-state strategy, Hyperliquid's all-in cost is within a handful of basis points of a fee-free broker — before counting the value of eliminating PDT, eliminating after-hours gap risk, and being able to actually trade the news. For active traders doing more than three round-trips a week the math gets dramatically better.

The one risk to flag: funding rate spikes on heavily one-sided perps. When NOW funding is crowded on the long side immediately post-Assist-ACV-beat, the rate can spike to 0.05% per 8 hours on the over-crowded side. The fix is to use the perp tactically (open, hold the event, close) rather than as a permanent buy-and-hold, or to take the under-crowded side and receive the funding.

Risk — What Actually Moves ServiceNow Stock

If you're deploying capital on NOW, know what catalysts to expect:

  • Quarterly earnings + Now Assist ACV growth. ServiceNow prints in late January, late April, late July, and late October. The Assist ACV line and the cRPO are the two numbers that matter. Compare them against the management commentary on the call — that's the single largest source of single-day volatility.
  • Enterprise-software comp prints. Salesforce, Workday, Microsoft, Atlassian, and Datadog all read through to NOW. A clean cohort of beats moves NOW up in sympathy; a string of misses produces the rotation-out trade.
  • CIO surveys + Gartner Magic Quadrant releases. Quarterly buyside CIO surveys consistently put ServiceNow in the top three "vendors we're consolidating onto." Each release is a small but real catalyst.
  • Anthropic / OpenAI displacement risk. The largest competitive bear case is that direct-to-LLM agentic platforms (Anthropic's MCP, OpenAI's enterprise tier) displace the workflow-orchestration layer entirely. So far the buyside has consistently sided with ServiceNow on the basis that enterprise needs a system of record, not a chat box. Headlines on this thesis move the stock more than the underlying reality does.
  • Macro IT-spend revisions. When CIOs cut software budgets (rare, but the 2022 episode is fresh memory), NOW underperforms despite its high net retention. CIO budget commentary in CFO outlook surveys is a real catalyst.

The pattern across all five: catalysts are scheduled, cluster outside U.S. cash hours, and produce gaps that are uncatchable on cash brokers. A 24/7 perp turns those gaps into tradeable events.

Getting Started in 5 Steps

  1. Open a Hyperliquid account. Use this referral link to get a fee discount. The whole signup is < 2 minutes — connect a wallet, fund USDC, done. No KYC, no broker forms.
  2. Connect Hyperliquid to Fomoed. In the dashboard, add Hyperliquid as an exchange. We use a builder code so the bot can sign trades on your behalf without ever holding your funds.
  3. Backtest your strategy. Use the free backtest sandbox with pair xyz:NOW and a 12-month window. Pick the strategy template that matches your view — DCA for post-print accumulation, grid for inter-print ranges, custom RSI for news reversion.
  4. Deploy a small live bot. Start with $100–$500 position size. Use isolated leverage 1–3× while you verify the strategy behaves the way the backtest suggested.
  5. Add notifications + monitoring. Telegram alerts on every open/close and a daily P&L summary. Watch it for 1–2 weeks before scaling up.

Tax and Regulatory Notes

Hyperliquid is a non-custodial perpetual DEX. It does not collect KYC, does not issue 1099s, and does not custody funds — your USDC stays in your own wallet, the bot signs orders via a builder code. The user agreement excludes a short list of sanctioned countries; for everyone else, the venue is open. The flip side: you are responsible for tracking and reporting your own trades for tax purposes. In the U.S., perp P&L is typically treated as ordinary or §1256 income depending on facts and circumstances — talk to your accountant, not a blog post. Outside the U.S., crypto perp treatment varies wildly: most EU jurisdictions tax capital gains, Japan taxes as miscellaneous income, the UK has a per-trade basis. 24/7 access is the upside, self-reporting is the cost of admission.

Conclusion — ServiceNow 24/7 Is the Cleanest Enterprise-AI Bet

The story that drove NOW from $400 in 2022 to all-time highs through 2025–2026 is not over. The Now Assist ACV trajectory ($1.5B in 2026, $9B by 2030), the consolidation thesis (CIOs picking fewer, larger vendors and ServiceNow consistently being one of them), and the consumption pricing model (which turns AI from a deflationary threat into a tailwind) are all working. The only structural drag is that the multiple is high — NOW trades at roughly 13–15x forward subscription revenue depending on the day. That's a 2027 problem if growth ever decelerates, not a 2026 problem.

What 24/7 access changes is purely tactical. You can react to the Q2 print without waiting for the next morning's open. You can short into a Salesforce-disappointment-rotation at midnight. You can hedge a long-NOW cash position overnight while you sleep. You can run the NOW/CRM pair as a single perp basket without two brokerage accounts and two PDT clocks. None of those are revolutionary alone, but compounded over a year they are the difference between catching the move and reading about it on X the next morning.

Trade it with respect — NOW is a mega-cap with mature liquidity, but the perp is still relatively new and funding spikes are real. Use small size, isolated margin, and let the bots do the unglamorous work of laddering, gridding, and mean-reverting around the catalysts. That's the entire Fomoed thesis in one sentence.
