Bloom secured $7.65 billion in data center-related contracts in a 90-day period in early 2026. The total addressable market for on-site AI-data-center power, just in the U.S., is now estimated at 60 to 80 GW through 2030 — versus Bloom's installed base of about 1 GW at the end of 2024. The TAM is two orders of magnitude above the installed base.

The bear case is honest and important to flag. Bloom is a high-multiple stock that re-rated on a single customer (Oracle) plus a handful of un-disclosed wins. If hyperscaler capex cools, the multiple compresses violently. If natural gas prices spike, the unit economics of SOFC deployment tighten. If a competitor (CEG via nuclear, GE Vernova via gas turbines) lands a marquee hyperscaler deal at lower cost-per-MW, Bloom's TAM share shrinks. These are not edge cases — they're the reasons the stock has had multiple 15 to 25% single-week drawdowns even during the up-trend.

Why BE Trading Hours Are Broken for Retail

Bloom's Energy Servers can run on hydrogen, and the company sells electrolysers that produce hydrogen from electricity plus water. What this product mix means for traders: BE is a hardware-plus-services story where each leg moves on different timing. When a hyperscaler deal is announced, the hardware leg drives the stock. When service ARR inflects (usually a 6-to-12-month lag on hardware deployments), the multiple expands. When natural gas pricing moves sharply, the gross margin re-calibrates.   • Analyst initiations and upgrades. Daiwa's Outperform upgrade in mid-2026 was a meaningful catalyst. The Street is split on BE's multiple, with bull-case targets above $400 and bear-case targets below $200. Each rating action moves the stock more than usual for a name this size.

The pattern across all six: catalysts are partially scheduled (earnings, regulatory) and partially idiosyncratic (hyperscaler announcements, competitor news).
