Paper trading lets you test strategies with simulated funds in real market conditions — no risk to your capital. It is the ideal way to validate a strategy before going live.

How Paper Mode Works

In paper mode, your bot tracks real market prices and executes simulated trades against a virtual balance. All signals, entries, and exits behave identically to live mode, but no real orders are placed on the exchange.

Simulated Balance

Paper bots start with a configurable simulated balance. P&L, win rate, and trade history are tracked just like a live bot, giving you accurate performance metrics to evaluate your strategy.

Enabling Paper Trading

During bot setup, select Paper Trading in the Trading Mode step.
Configure your strategy, pair, and risk settings as normal.
Start the bot — it will trade using simulated funds.

Switching Between Paper and Live

You can switch a bot between paper and live mode at any time from the bot settings. When switching to live, make sure your exchange credentials are configured and you have sufficient balance.

Tracking Performance

Paper bots display the same stats as live bots: total P&L, win rate, average trade duration, and full trade history. Use these metrics to compare strategies before committing real capital.

Tip: Run a strategy in paper mode for at least a few days before switching to live. This helps you understand the strategy's behavior in different market conditions without risking real money.
